About Björkenäs Camping

Björkenäs Camping is situated on the seaside of the eastern part of Blekinge county about 20 km east of the town Karlskrona and about 8 km from the village Jämjö towards the sea.

The camping ground has 44 areas with electrical connections and about 40 without.

The camping area is surrounded of a natural and calm evironment and can offer the guests different activities such as: a play ground for children, possibilities for bathing and swimming in the Baltic sea (even for small children), boule ground, mini golf, horse shoe throwing and in connection to the camping ground also a football ground.

Swedish people traditionally celebrate Midsummer and so do we in Björkenäs Camping as well. On Midsummer Eve the midsummer pole will be “dressed” with birch- and oak leaves and flowers. Then, when the pole is raised we open the midsummer holiday by taking the first dance around the pole together with the children. On Midsummer Day we traditionally dance around the pole and in the evening we dance on the dance floor.

Every Friday evening in July a “trubadur” (singer) will visit and entertain us with song and music. One Saturday in July a Camping Derby in Horse Shoe Throwing is arranged and only the camping guests is allowed to participate. To became a Horse Shoe Throwing Champion of Björkenäs Camping is, of cause, a “feather in the hat”!

The camping season on Björkenäs Camping is normally from the 1st of May up to and including the 31st of September
